STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

check out androidx
apply https://android-review.git.corp.google.com/q/topic:%22gradle-8.1%22
./busytown/androidx_device_tests.sh

Expected

Our build is run twice (for up to dateness validation). Second run uses configuration cache

Actual

Second build does not use configuration cache, it is dropped due to

Calculating task graph as configuration cache cannot be reused because the file system entry '../../out/.gradle/.android/analytics.settings' has been created.

I also have the same issue. Calls are so unstable it's ridiculous. I have already reported a similar issue, but they can't figure anything out. I too have bug reports.

Thank you for the report.

Please capture the bugreport by enabling modem logs.

[How to enable "Verbose Vendor Logging"]

Menu->settings->about phone -> build number -> keep click the "build number" till it shows "now you are a developer"

Go to Settings -> system -> developer options

Scroll down and find "USB debugging". Enable it "Enable Verbose Vendor Logging" Enable it too

Whenever issue observed, please do:

Settings -> System -> Developer Options -> Click "Bug report".

It will take few minutes to generate A bugreport. Please save and share it.

Note: Please upload the bug report to google drive and share the folder to android-bugreport@google.com, then share the link here.

Called voicemail and the dropout happened within a few seconds of the call
starting. (At around 9:05 AEDST)

Same. Pixel 6. Toggling audio output to Speaker (or just waiting 10-20 seconds) temporarily resolves the issue, but the drop-outs continue to occur every minute or so.

I've noticed the calls seem to work fine through the watch. Any of the speakers on the phone randomly dropout. It happens with every phone call

I don't think it's something to do with the network or region but a glitch in recent update.
I see this as S0 and P2. I believe this should be S0 and P0, as the basic purpose of a phone has gone for a toss.

It's been 5 days since this issue started to be widely reported, and yet no official update. I don't believe Google is treating this clearly widespread issue with the due care and attention it deserves. The #1 reason we have these devices is because they make calls. This functionality, the namesake of the device, is rendered useless right now. Its a CORE feature.

i found that the call didn't drop, I had to change from phone to speaker than back to phone sometimes. Also sometime just disconnected. Also with P6P.

I noticed this too. Seems like the audio to the earpiece gets cut off after a while. Sometimes it works if i switch to speakes or hold and unhold the call.
