Found suddenly that this process has run for 3 hours !!
Shouldn't AS tell me that another builds was going on ?

Thinking back for three hours, I may have tried to stop the build process by clicking on the gray x behind "Gradle bulding..." message on the AS status bar. All seemed OK then...

Upon building an signed APK the "Key Password" has been killed, the field was blanked out after upgrade from AS 3.1 Canary5 -> AS 3.1 Canary 6. After som frustrating hours searching for the Key Password i found it... I remembered the key store password though, since i had to enter it every time prior to Canary 6...
Even "remember" password was checked in Canary 5, it was "deleted" during update to Canary 6.
If you read this before update to Canary 6, please find your "key password" and "key store password", you may need it...
Hint: Build -> Generate Signed APK...
