@3 Have you also fixed the issues of the preview, that it sometimes doesn't get updated, doesn't get shown, or isn't interactive ? They happen quite a lot

steps:
1. open some tabs.
2. go to a layout editor.
3. show preview
4. close all of the tabs using the keyboard alone (using the mouse won't cause the issue, for some reason).
The bug:
the preview of the layout is still shown, as if you still preview a layout file.
