I have informed our engineering team of this feature request. There is currently no ETA for its implementation.
A current workaround would be to check the returned "boundingPoly" [1] "vertices" for the returned "textAnnotations". If the calculated rectangle's heights > widths, than your image is sideways.

same :D
Description
Technically not a translator, but an "Idiomatic translator" could be implemented for the Google algorithms, detecting which phrases are more common and what do they mean for each part of the world.
As stated in the oxford dictionary [1], the differences are subtle but vast.
Would it be possible to have a subfunction of this API for this goal? Thanks.
