Same issue, 2/6/2022 even after the February update.
Verizon pixel 6 pro using a macbook pro and imac both updated to v12.2 and chrome v98.0.4758.80.
Fastbootd (not fastboot) I can at least get it to download but it won't install. Pretty sure the website for this is the issue, when it checks the state your device is in, it's looking for the wrong state or something.
Now would be a great time to chime in Google support/techs.
In console I can see "compiled_en.js:1767 Fastboot command (oem udfps get-cal-url) failed: 'Unknown OEM command'" but I have no idea what this means. I'd presume the code to do the install is bad.

Same problem here. Pixel 6 with replaced, but original display, now fingerprint sensor isn't enlisted. This error message comes up when trying to add fingerprints for screen unlock using fingerprints (German: Einstellungen->Sicherheit->Entsperrung per Fingerabdruck -> Mehr -> Mehr -> Ich stimme zu->Starten--> Error Message "Registrierung wurde nicht abgeschlossen - Fingerabrucksensor kann nicht verwendet werden...")
I tried:
1) Factory reset ->Same error message as above
2)https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/udfps on Chromium/Linux and Chrome/Windows
After starting the Pixel 6 in fastboot mode and connecting to the computer, at the step "Downloading", I get the error message
-> "Couldn't find the unique calibration software for this device"

Seems like the tool is running
fastboot oem udfps get-cal-url
The url returned by that command is then invalid
When you try to visit the url returned, it's no longer up. My guess is that the url moved somewhere else on Google servers but fastboot reports the original url.
If anyone is able to get the .signed.cal file it's as simple as fastboot oem udfps apply-cal <path-to-file>
For those suggesting fastbootd, that doesn't reply to any oem commands. Not exactly sure how it even passes the download phase

Same issue here. I tried the factory reset via the phone's software and that did not help. I tried downloading the calibration software from 6 different computers including Win 10, Win 11, and Chromebooks. Same error message every time.

Same Issue.
Tried the calibration in windows 10, windows 11, ubuntu, chromium, mac and with another pixel 3AXL.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers, with android studio installed.
Tried resetting the device 3 times with every new patch google released.
Tried re-flashing the October image and then again after updating.

Sorry, this issue tracker is intended for use by app developers to report issues with Jetpack libraries. This looks like a user issue with a device, and should be reported to the hardware manufacturer.

Hello! I'm from Russia. I broke the screen on my pixel 6 pro, the master replaced the display, the fingerprint sensor disappeared from the sewing. After some attempts, he appeared, and then disappeared again. Didn't find it again. https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/ does not find it, gives an error. Help with advice on how to make it work? I'm very sad.

I have the same problem, this is such a pain. So many accounts for airlines, insurance, finance, car rental, etc... and I now have to remember user IDs and passwords to get in. This typically means resets.
GOOGLE get this issue fixed for Pixel 6 pro. Love the 2 sims, but a broken and replace glass should NOT cause this much trouble!!!!

I had my Google Pixel 6 Pro screen replaced. The repair shop couldn't get the fingerprint reader to work with the new screen, however I should be able to recalibrate the fingerprint reader by going to https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/carrier_selection and selecting "Install fingerprint calibration software" which redirects me to https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/udfps
When following the instructions and connecting my phone to either Windows 10 or Chrome OS I get an error during the "Downloading software" step stating "Couldn't find the unique calibration software for this device"

I did some debugging in the Fingerprint calibration tool using developer tools.
During the first step for the installation, the page attempts to download a file using a GET command using the following path.
https://storage.googleapis.com/hardware-mfg-data-ext-sacal/a41e001f3706fe.signed.cal
If it fails with a 404 error (file does not exist), it tries again using uppercase letters and gets the same error. This is easily visible in the network tab.
The JavaScript looks for errors during download. If it gets a 404 error it always displays the message "Couldn't find the unique calibration software for this device"
I wasn't able to figure out where a41e001f3706fe is coming from. Perhaps it's an encoded OS version number. It will never work until that file exists. I'm thinking if the OS is downgraded on the phone to an older version (perhaps the first version that was released with the Pixel 6) it might change the file it's looking for to something that does exist.

Same issue here. Have gone to a google repair center, they installed a genuine screen with fingerprint sensor attached, and when we run the google recalibration software, I get an error message saying that it "couldn't find the calibration software for this device". Phone is 8 weeks old (Pixel 6 pro) and already it's lacking the fingerprint scanner. Not cool.

Dear Google,
Don't miss comment #20 from March 7th -- it gives a very plausible explanation for the problem, and thus a probable easy fix.

I got mine fixed. Apparently its an issue with the screen.
ubreakifix said there are faulty screen units that doesn't recognize the tool.
You just need to go back where you get your screen replaced and ask to order another part.

Description
Our Android app uses the VPN Service as a DNS-only split-tunnel. By setting the VPN Service DNS servers, we add only these same DNS servers as VPN routes.
e.g. VPN Service DNS server: 8.8.8.8, VPN Service route: 8.8.8.8
Many apps such as Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Gmail, Google Drive, and many more use the Android DownloadManager to handle networking tasks. Any app making use of DownloadManager will fail to to download files while connected to VPN Service interface.
As a result, many customers experience difficulties while using our app's VPN.
Android OS: 7.0+
Device: Any
Reproduction:
1. Install app using VPN Service.
2. Connect to VPN Service interface.
3. Download app in Google Play Store.
Reproducibility:
10/10
Severity:
High
Frequency:
High
Expected Results:
App downloads successfully.
Actual Results:
App fails to download.
