Currently, Cloud Marketplace only allows creating instances in networks that belong to your project. This FR is to ingrate marketplace with Shared VPC network to be able to deploy a solution from a service project in a shared network. Please note that we cannot provide an ETA nor guarantee the feature’s implementation. Rest assured that your feedback is always taken into account, as it allows us to improve our products.

You can track this FR which you can ‘star’ in order to get updates on this topic as soon as they’re available.

This is already supported on Google Cloud Marketplace. The solution template must explicit tell in their Deployment Manager template that they support usage of Shared VPC.

If a customer trying to deploy a Marketplace VM solution does not see a Shared VPC available to be used, it might be because of one of the two issues below:

VM solution does not have that enabled in their template
Customer's project doesn't have a VPC shared with them (more about the concepts here)

If you have a project that is a service project (has a VPC shared with it), you can see your VPC being listed in our Click to Deploy Wordpress solution, for example

we are trying to deploy a Striim instance through the Marketplace UI in a Shared VPC. It looks like Shared VPCs are not shown in the UI and we cannot neither add the whole string pointing to the hostproject/Shared VPC ("

In general, how can we undestand from the templates if the deployment on a Shared VPC in the host project is supported or not?

The customer cannot configure Shared VPC for deploying wordpress provided by marketplace.
