It’d be helpful if we have a way to parametrize an app.yaml natively when deploying to App Engine. This way if I have different environments (dev, int, test, prod) I don’t have to have the same yaml file for each env. Currently we can do the workaround of saving the app.yaml in a bucket and then running $ (gsutil cat gs://<BUCKET>/app.yaml > /tmp/app.yaml) && gcloud app deploy /tmp/app.yaml (I could also cp, it’s the same)

We could have some sort of flag in gcloud app deploy where we can specify the yaml (only app.yaml) in a bucket.

It would be useful to have the native possibility to parametrize config files or generate the app.yaml file based on a properties file.
