Same problem on beta 1. Re-registering fingerprints doesn't help.

Description
What you would like to accomplish:
Allow users to comment out line(s) temporarily for testing, later user, or even to add documentation to complex queries.
How this might work:
Add a comment character/function or button to ignore the text within the Stackdriver logging UI.
Similar to how Big Query allows single line and multi line comments:
