Android API Council requested that the toSafeString() API be exposed in a library, rather than the platform, so that it can be updated out-of-band from the platform. Please create a androidx.core.net.UriCompat class with a static toSafeString(Uri) shim method. See go/androidx/onboarding for workflow and go/androidx-api-guidelines#static-shim for API guidance.

Or when changing to textView.textMetricsParamsCompat still crash.

private fun setAsyncText(textView: AppCompatTextView, text: String?) {
