This is not only useful for IP addresses, but also for many other resources. I understand that names are currently used as identifiers, so this request is probably not trivial to implement. Maybe distinguishing between a (numeric, automatically generated) identifier and a (textual) label is the way to go?
Description
Problem you have encountered:
When using Deployment manager to update the number of GPUs in a VM instance created as well with Deployment Manager, a message is received saying that "there is no method to update the specific resource"
What you expected to happen:
Since from the web UI you might change the amount or attach GPUs to an existing VM, the customer would like to do through Deployment Manager
Steps to reproduce:
-Create a VM with Deployment Manager using a yaml file
-Once the VM was created try to update the number of GPUs attached to the VM usign a yaml file
Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc): The only workaround available is recreate the VM instance instead instead of updating the existence.
