Description
Customer is requesting to add pg_bulkload to Cloud SQL's roadmap.
Additional details:
We do some large data loads into our cloudSQL postgres DB from CSV files and would very much like to use the pg_bulkload extension. We are currently using the import from storage buckets and the postgres COPY command, but these are slower and have a limited option-set when compared with pg_bulkload.
pg_bulkload is a postgres industry standard tool and has several advantages:
1. you can run in multi-threaded mode to greatly speed up data loads
2. you can handle duplicates in the source data and filter them out
