In the meantime, I can offer you a potential workaround; create a message through the API with the DRAFT label, then store the times you want somewhere (an Spreadsheet would work well) and query it on a daily trigger to check for the messages that need to be sent. You can do this with the API easily, and you can use Google Apps Scripts as well.

thx, maybe it can work for us but we would really like to see the scheduled emails in the users scheduled folder.

I have also asked about this possibility, obtaining a negative answer. It would be great if they implemented this option.
Thank you

STOP adding "+1"s on this issue!
The correct way to mark that this issue affects you is by clicking the star icon at the top.
Comments like "+1" are useless and they spam everyone affected by this issue. Thank you.

Dear colleagues, please do stop posting +1 comments. This does not speed things up, and the interested parties get annoying notifications.
For those who develop using Google Apps Script, there is also PropertiesService
(without polling) and corresponding discussion. Combined with the assignee's suggestion this can be a viable solution. It would be nice to have the feature exposed either by the API or GmailApp
, though - it has a lot of potential in reducing boilerplate needed to send emails at a later point in time.

But the Gmail web version is not able to ring the notification on a Mac OS, and that drives me crazy...
Fortunately, there is a developer creating a powerful App for Mac OS, which is nearly perfect except without the scheduled mail function.
End up, knowing it is because of the Gmail bug.
Therefore, please provide this feature, it is a must to have function.

It would be great if that functionality would be exposed in the gmail java api.
Also editing send dateTime.
Thanks a lot.
