I have informed our engineering team of this feature request. There is currently no ETA for its implementation.
A current workaround would be to check the returned "boundingPoly" [1] "vertices" for the returned "textAnnotations". If the calculated rectangle's heights > widths, than your image is sideways.

Description
Problem you have encountered:
Unable to figure out how to use Translation API for a file to file pre-translation of some large documents (120000+ characters)
What you expected to happen:
To find the same Translate document button as described here;
And have the document translated COMPLETELY (normal access is cutoff after X thousand characters, rest comes untranslated)
I would want Google to bill me for the characters.
And simply provide a whole (pre-)translated document.
Just for me. Just for editing use on Desktop. But simple.
Steps to reproduce:
Start out using Google Translate API as someone who spends little time programming (while working fulltime at nightshifts in a geriatric home)
Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):
Reading the documentation and quickstart guides.
Please help, I am willing to pay, but dont know how to access the product
