@3 Attached video showing the issue. It's this way for a very long time.
We can't scan the content, and we can't share it as a screenshot.
To reproduce, you just long press the home button and try to find how to do anything on the Google assistant app that is related to what's on the screen.
After all, the app has access to what's on the screen, and it used to be able to show you easy actions about it: find what's on the screen, share screenshot,...
Over time, it got removed completely. It was a very useful feature. We could even share a screenshot without really saving it to the device.

@3 It's the exact same as before.
You long press the home button, and even though the assistant has access to the screenshot, it doesn't offer you anything with it. Not to share it, not to show what's in it, not to search for it on Google....

Please check for this issue in Q latest build https://developers.google.com/android/images and share the observations.
We checked it in Q latest build as perhttps://developers.google.com/android/images#crosshatch and assistant says 'I didn't find any relevant photos in your google photos gallery".

@7 I don't understand what you mean.
The assistant shouldn't need you to tell her "what's on my screen". It already scanned it the moment it appears.
Also, what the assistant tells you doesn't make sense at all. Why should it look at Google Photos gallery, if I asked to see what to do on the screen?
Please just provide an easy way to perform operations on the scanned content, without talking or writing. Just clicking on stuff on the scanned content.
You can mark the things on the screen content that can be clicked to search for, for example, to make it easier to know what it can do.
