Since quite a while there is a sound played on incoming Whatsapp messages which is already pretty disturbing.
In the past at least there was a "mute notification" button at the shown notification.

This button is now just gone. If there is somebody (or a group) who does not stop texting you, your car audio will play the notification sound without any end and you have absolutely no possibility to make it stop without turning off Android Auto (which will obviously stop navigation). This is incredibly disturbing and therefore dangerous while driving.

My feature requests:
- Please create a setting that allows to show message notifications without sound. There is no sense of playing a sound on a device that is set to mute
- Please bring back the "Mute notifications" button at Whatsapp notifications
