I have forwarded this request to the engineering team. We will update this issue with any progress updates and a resolution.

Hello! Sorry to bring up this issue after almost a year but I wanted to add that we have chosen metric identifier as agent.googleapis.com/memory/percent_used but autoscaling didnt work out for us either. It would be appraciated if you can guide us.

Hi, at the moment we are using the cpu_utilization/target_utilization attribute (in app.yaml) for autoscaling in the app engine flexible environment, however it would be great if we can have the way to mention the memory_utilization metrics as well to decide on the auto scaling. It will give us more control of the auto scaling the instances than now.

Hi, I do not see any memory metrics in neither console nor stackdriver. Is this connected to this issue?

Hi ,
Can somebody tell the exact metric for memory based autoscaling

Agreed! How is it that this P2 S2 issue is still not implemented?

Any news about this feature?
ki...@google.com <ki...@google.com> #12
Hi ! My customer Maisons du Monde is also asking if we have any news on this feature request that is key for them.
Description
Users like to be able to provide granular access to their Stackdriver Monitoring dashboards and metrics, so that, depending on the user accessing them, the user can only see the information provided by the Monitoring Admin to that user. Currently the ability to view Stackdriver Monitoring dashboards and metrics is done all or nothing.
Issue:
Customers with multiple users from different organizations that need access to only *some* of the monitoring information in a project’s Stackdriver Workspace. Providing all monitoring information to these users with restricted access would be unnecessary and provide a security risk to the project owner.
Intended Outcome, if implemented:
1. Create a dashboard/metric
2. In creation/edit be able to restrict the data to only a set of users
3. When a user accesses the Stackdriver Monitoring they are only able to view the allowed data
Workaround:
There is not an available workaround for real-time separation of metrics. However, a project owner can achieve this separation via exporting their metrics manually and sending the appropriate information to the appropriate user. Here are two examples of exporting Stackdriver Monitoring metrics using App Engine/PubSub [1] or using Colab/Monitoring API [2]. Both use BigQuery to query the data and Cloud Scheduler to automate exporting the information.
