Description
What you would like to accomplish:
Delete protection for persistent disks would be a nice feature to have to avoid accidental data loss. At the moment, disks can be deleted even when attached to running compute engine instances.
How this might work:
Could be implemented in a manner similar to delete protection for virtual machines.
If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:
