What you would like to accomplish:

https://translate.google.com/?tr=f&hl=en gives you an option to add a document but this is not part of translate API in Google Cloud today. We would like:

1) Ability to send documents via the Translate API

2) Detect or select the origin language and translate it to another language

Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc): In the meantime, we have two workarounds for our users:

1. Read the documents via your preferred programming language, translate the plain text via the API and save the results in a new document.

2. Use https://translate.google.com/?tr=f&hl=en to translate files
