Currently in GKE, if a customer wants to create a node pool that manages nodes on a specific zone(s) of a regional or multizonal cluster, they must use this gcloud command[1]. They would like to have this functionality available to them in the Python Library[2].
This is a feature request to implement “Create Node Pool in specific zones” functionality[1] in the Python Client for Google Kubernetes Engine API[2].
This issue can be worked around by implementing a python script that uses a subprocess[3] to run the gcloud command[1], however this is not ideal.
