Thanks for the post! Currently, there is no API to access My Maps programatically. We already have a feature request for this but we do not expect to implement this feature in the foreseeable future, therefore, marked as infeasible. You can check the feature request here: https://issuetracker.google.com/35820262
If you would like to have this feature, please star the said feature request above to register your interest. We also invite you to add a comment detailing your use case. From time to time we reevaluate feature requests, and customer interest and strong use cases are major factors in our prioritization decisions.
That said, we will now be marking this as duplicate of issuehttps://issuetracker.google.com/35820262

What would you like to see us add to this API?
I'm a developer and going to have a digital product, I need to share one of my Maps only with users who buy the product and in restricted mode. this sharing is supposed to be done in the website once they made the purchase.
I would need to call an API to share My Map with some users (I have their gmail), eg. the API receives their gmail and only shares it with them.
Meaning that when I send an automatic email confirming the purchase, if I add this link saying "Thanks for your purchase, please follow this link to download your new map." people will see the map and be able to add it to their Google Maps App, but they will also be able to share the link with other people.
Currently the functionality is available on maps manually, but I'm wondering if there is an api that does this too.
Thank you,
Ali
