For Volvo, we would like to have support for themes in chassis toolbar. When you look at the attached picture, you can see that we would like to have white background for toolbar with black icons for few apps which has to support bright theme.

I haven't tried this feature before, but it appears that you'd want to trigger it at the decor View level. We won't likely implement it beyond the ComposeView level in the near future.

Please try that and see if it satisfies your needs.
