Description
Notifications should have the option to auto-expire so that one does not have to manually hit "Clear all" in order to receive new notifications, the reasoning for this is self-explanatory--I am not an android and forget to hit "Clear all," my phone SHOULD be doing that for me...some of us have busy lives and when they are unforgivably interrupted by shortfalls in certain devices, those devices become unemployed; this is simple logic. The problem though is that although iPhone does have what a busy person critically needs in its notification expiration but yet has a litany of other shortcomings vs Android that end up making one feel like a trophy wife in a bad marriage.
I am writing to let all know that the Android team will be making Notification Expiration a feature in Android. Logic: I am the customer and the customer is always right; therefore, begin work upon this feature.
At some point I will be going back into the Google offices here in Austin and informing my contact of your team's decision this time around. (I used to play alot of Counter-Strike back in the beta days with alot of good people at the most expensive boarding school in this region of the world and as one might imagine I got someone to find someone who found someone who has lent me an ear.)
Do not take this feature request as a threat, please see it as a promise. I am saving emails from developers. I have been brushed off once already, you may notice that this person is no longer with the company. Whomever brushes me off or attempts to block this feature from being developed will be reported in fashion and those who enable it shall be acclaimed.
You take the point.
