I uninstalled the Android Studio 4.2 Canary 11 and then installed the Canary 8

Thanks! We suspect we know what causes. Just curious do you have some custom install flags in your Run Configuration?

I've set nothing in there. it has happened from after installation without any additional configuration.

The fix should be in 4.2 Canary 13. Please let us know if you are still seeing the issue.
