Device type: Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2019
OS version: Android 10
Biometric library version: 1.1.0-beta01

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Galaxy Tab A does not have any biometric sensor.
Setup a Pin/pattern/passcode etc.
Run the following code:

biometricPrompt.authenticate(BiometricPrompt.PromptInfo.Builder()
                    .setTitle("Some title")
                    .setDeviceCredentialAllowed(true) // or .setAllowedAuthenticators(Authenticators.DEVICE_CREDENTIAL or Authenticators.DEVICE_CREDENTIAL)
                    .build())

EXPECTED RESULTS

The keyguard activity should be displayed for user to enter pin/pattern/passcode.

OBSERVED RESULTS

Get error BIOMETRIC_ERROR_HW_NOT_PRESENT immediately in the callback.

NUMBER OF TIMES YOU WERE ABLE TO REPRODUCE (e.g. 3/10)

Semantics no-op cleanups

Partly in response to lmr's broad code review, I did a pass of
superficial API/implementation cleanup. The main changes are:

- I changed each Boolean SemanticsProperty where false is equivalent to
not being present to take "Unit" instead. This is conceptually
clearer: it avoids questions like "can I cancel out a semantics from a
merged child by setting it to false?" Because "property = Unit" looks
weird, I also changed the style of these to "property()".

- I moved the Semantics id generator closer to where it's used, in
SemanticsModifierCore. I made it internal and an AtomicInt.
(Note that integer ids are heavily used in the Android
AccessibilityNodeInfo APIs so I can't simply remove them entirely.)

- I deleted dead code. Some examples include SemanticsHintOverrides,
a public API not connected to anything, and SemanticsPropertyKey
merge() open method which is never called. (In both cases I have
a different plan in mind for accessibility.)

seems to be due too hasBiometrics() return false:

A workaround is to use the deprecated keyguardManager.createConfirmDeviceCredentialIntent() in the authentication error callback when BIOMETRIC_ERROR_HW_NOT_PRESENT is returned

Hi, is there any update here? Is this really fixed in `1.2.0-alpha04`? I faced with the same issue, but I wouldn't like to use alpha without being sure that the bug has been fixed.
