Story points rate the relative effort of work in a Fibonacci-like format: 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 20, 40, 100. Each team will estimate work on a slightly different scale, which means the values in this field are likely only meaningful to the team that owns the Buganizer component in which the issue resides.

Description
BUILD INFO
STEPS TO REPRODUCE [Be as specific as possible please]
EXPECTED RESULTS canAuthenticate(BIOMETRIC_STRONG) should return BIOMETRIC_SUCCESS
OBSERVED RESULTS canAuthenticate(BIOMETRIC_STRONG) returns BIOMETRIC_STATUS_UNKNOWN
NUMBER OF TIMES YOU WERE ABLE TO REPRODUCE (e.g. 3/10) 10/10 (on Pixel 3a)
More info:
From what I can see stacktrace looks like this:
BiometricManager.canAuthenticate(BIOMETRIC_STRONG) -> canAuthenticateCompat(BIOMETRIC_STRONG) -> canAuthenticateWithStrongBiometricOnApi29() -> canAuthenticateWithFingerprintOrUnknown() -> returns BIOMETRIC_STATUS_UNKNOWN
All because getCanAuthenticateWithCryptoMethod() that uses reflection somehow return null on Pixel 3a and mFingerprintManager is only initialized on API < 29. I had to manually check FingerprintManager if he hasEnrolledFingerprints() to correct that. Oh and in case you wondering BiometricManager.canAuthenticate(BIOMETRIC_WEAK) returns BIOMETRIC_SUCCESS
