Description
Please describe your requested enhancement. Good feature requests will solve common problems or enable new use cases.
What you would like to accomplish:
There is currently a soft limit of 40 CloudSQL instances per project. Larger customers are likely to hit this limit, and increasing to anywhere near 1000 instances is not currently supported by google.
How this might work:
Increasing the number of supported instances to 1000 would allow large customers to grow without having to shard deployments out.
If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:
Without the ability to support this scale, additional tooling needs to be created to shard the DBs across multiple projects, which creates additional challenges and introduces a lot of complexity
Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):
Quota increases are generally not granted beyond 100 instances per project.
