Description
HU supports 48kHz Guidance (16kHz/48kHz, PCM/AAC)
protocol spec states:
Voice audio most have one of:
AAC-LC, 16 bits mono, 48000 Hz
PCM, 16 bits mono, 48000 Hz
HUIG 8.2 Audio Streams
MUST support both the PCM codec and AAC-LC codec for AAW connections (R08-012). In this case, the HU registers two audio sinks per device-to-vehicle audio channel, one for PCM and one for AAC-LC.
actual:
If two audio sinks are defined, PCTS A70 fails - "HU reports multiple audio sink for guidance channel".
A70 will pass if only one voice audio sink is defined (48k PCM or AAC).
Some non-pixel devices also will not start if no 16kHz audio sink is defined for guidance, "communication error 2 - The phone and the car are running incompatible software..."
48kHz audio appears to be chopped e.g. PCTS A10.
PCTS 3.7
AA v6.0.615334-release
Sincerely,
Adrian
