This is not only useful for IP addresses, but also for many other resources. I understand that names are currently used as identifiers, so this request is probably not trivial to implement. Maybe distinguishing between a (numeric, automatically generated) identifier and a (textual) label is the way to go?

Is it any hope? We have migrated our IP address to the server with different role, and now the name of this IP address resource doesn't match its role at all. It seems to be trivial enough to momentary reserve static IP address of the old named resource, drop resource, and immediately recreate it with the new name and the old IP address.

+1, don't see why this would be hard. If the underlying GCP infrastructure depends on the name remaining unchanged, then the frontend can simply provide a way to alias it such that the end-user doesn't have to see the "original" name anymore.

+1 here too. But the problem is also with disks. We currently use part of hostname in the name. Sometimes a machine has to be renamed and it's not possible.

At least say NO so we are not left hanging for years and years. If you are looking for a reason why Google you can't compete with Azure and AWS this thread would be a prime example. If Google can't respond to basic feature requests then it is easy to imagine they can't do other basic things. Did Elon Musk take over Google too? Are 1/2 of you Google employees fired or just too busy checking out Amazon prime deals working at home? WTF, crickets for 8+ years? Do Something!

I'll jump on this band wagon. I do not understand why I cannot select to have each transaction emailed to me, or at least a monthly statement, as others above have indicated. I realize you want us all to go to your app, but in business, at least at present, when you are working your books, more than likely you are on a computer not a phone. Taco bell sends me an email with every transaction made. Maybe you can get some IT help from Taco Bell.

Same request here, one of our billings accounts does send an invoice by e-mail another billing account does not. Setting "email invoice delivery" mentioned in support docs NOWHERE to be found anymore (https://cloud.google.com/billing/docs/how-to/modify-billing-account#send-invoices-by-email ).

I could understand the negligence, if there was awesome content with ads and such on the billing page. Then Google would want to drive eyeballs to the billing page. But there is nothing like that of course....
P.S. @Google: If there was at least a DIRECT LINK to the site that has the invoice. But all we are getting is a Google Cloud Console link. Getting to the invoice from there is an adventure every month, because it's so well hidden on top.

Another vote for this feature. Every month our EA emails me to request the invoice. I then log in, download the invoice and email it to her. Would be so much more efficient to have this emailed to me then set up an inbox rule to automatically forward it to her. Imagine how much collective time (mine and hers) we could save over the year.

I am midst preparing my accounts and the lack of this feature has made it painstaking. It means that GCP transaction have to be manually logged in my accounting software which is pretty insane in 2024. Most if not all of the services I engage email me receipts / invoices so Xero accounting can reconcile against the bank account.
PLEASE hurry and implement this very basic feature.

Every few months, I get complaints from bookkeeping because they can't have an email automatically emailed directly to them. They don't need nor should they have access to the account to download invoices. So that means I have to do it manually. This is a significant pain point.

I came here to accept Expenses for QuickBooks. I saw that you have the same issue as I did.
So, here is the solution: you add QuickBooks email as forward one for your primary account (that you get all invoices from Google Cloud or any Google service to) in Gmail/Google Workspace(you can do the same with your email provider). Then you open Transactions->Receipts in QuickBooks and see the email with the confirm link from Gmail to forward emails. By default, the forwarding of all emails is disabled on the Gmail side. Now, you add a filter for Google emails with necessary attachments and ask Gmail to forward them to QuickBooks email address, and they appear as expenses.

That this feature is missing adds an extra manual(!) step to my work list every month, just to download the invoice. Please provide at least the means to download the latest invoice via script. I'm seriously considering moving to another cloud provider because of that.

My invoices are paid monthly automatically via credit card. I get a notification for the payment being received, but for downloading a statement/receipt for accounting purposes I need to login to the console each month to download and send it.

That it would be possible each month to receive via email automatically a statement/receipt from invoices paid by credit card rather than having to download it myself.
