What steps would let us observe this issue?
1. Open Google Pay
2. Add new card
3. Press "Activate contactless payment"
4. Add required card information

What did you expect to happen?
Contactless payment activated

What actually happened?
Message that tells me it can't be activated due to Android Version.

How often has this happened?
Every time

What was the effect of this issue on your device usage, such as lost time or work?
Did not observe, or no opinion

Tested this morning at a local supermarket & transaction worked OK. It seems the error is erroneous.

Saying phone is rooted or altered in some other way (neither rooted and bootloader is locked)

Same here. I've deleted the app, cleared cache and storage, but can't add any of the payment cards.

Not sure what changes, but so can confirm it appears to work now. I was able to add my cards from Google Payment, and they were able to NFC today. The contactless setup all of a sudden shows all check-offs today. Glad it is working.

I have information from bank that when i try to turn on contactless payment your are sending to them that my phone is not secure. Please explain why. I have android 11 from your repo.
