Same here on 4a, very infrequent though. Reboot fixes the issue.

I had the same problem until recently. Every app, all functions. New update seemed to fix it for me. Pixel 3a

Same issue for me. Pixel 5 - just started today on all apps. Rebooting does not fix the issue. Will have to go to the three-button navigation until it's fixed.

First post I just wanted to also say I get this bug 10/10 times while using Android 'S' Im not sure how to capture the bug in a report but if someone can link me to a guide id be happy to try. This bug occurs for me whenever I navigate through an application and try to return to the root. Android acts as if I was wanting to return to the home screen or previous application that I was using.

For instance: Swiping right @ home for the google now panel on pixels. If I open my snapshot and navigate to my say investments panel. I can open an account from the list and use it as normal, however when you try to return to the main menu android will take you back to the google snapshot page. If I try to go back into that same menu it will 10/10 times open the account that I was browsing from that menu. To "fix" the bug I use the software keys on the application to return me to the main account menu. Which will kick you back to the google snapshot, after that I am able to choose a different account.

(This is just an explanation of one instance, This happens for every application on my device as of now.) Sorry if this is to long but this bug is annoying lol.

The back gesture on the Google Pixel 4a is also broken. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Mainly the right back gesture stops working.

Happened yesterday May 22, 2021 on Pixel 4a (5G) on the bottom half of the display. Top half of display the gesture still worked. Rebooting fixed the issue.

Freezing multiple times a day mostly when exciting an app or sometimes just on the home screen.  Pressing the power button, then unlocking usually fixes but a couple times had to restart phone.
