Hello there,
How would this feature request impact your organization and how would it improve your workflow?
jo...@colpal.com <jo...@colpal.com> #3
I am developing an app script application that is part of a workflow triggered by a google form. The form is to get an approval and requires a meeting to be scheduled between the approval team and the requestor. Having access to working hours would allow the scheduler to respect the persons time at least in cases where all parties have working time that overlap.

Thank you for the details provided. I have forwarded them internally.

It'd be a real shame as there's a lot of support for this feature.

+1 on this request! Now with a distributed workforce, our company is developing services to help employees understand who is in office and where they sit. We need this information available from Google Calendar. Also, given the release of this new feature:

We would like to use Google Calendar as the source of truth for users' working schedule and location. This information is invaluable in driving other services that need this information - like user statuses in chat apps or our employee directory

Hi, this would be very beneficial to my organization. I will lean on the side of caution and not share too many details, but it will affect thousands of daily users and millions of lives. Wondering how are things looking in this area?
If I may ask, may I contribute in some way to get the ball rolling?

Since this one was closed, I opened a new request:
I also have a few questions/comments on Google's behavior.
- If enough users are asking for the feature, then why is it not a priority?
- Even if it is not a priority right now, why close the request? Leave it open so that it can be implemented when it can be a priority. If Google closes it then folks won't vote on it. But if Google leaves it open then folks can vote on it and Google will see much of a priority it is for their customers. Or is Google saying they don't care about customer needs?

What existing APIs would this affect?
What existing data does this use?
This would use the Working hours from a persons calendar settings.
