Current merged manifest:

<activity android:name="androidx.activity.ComponentActivity" />

Expected and mandatory in the future:

<activity android:name="androidx.activity.ComponentActivity"
android:exported="true" />

This was fixed in

which is part of Fragments 1.2.0-alpha01:

https://developer.android.com/jetpack/androidx/releases/fragment#1.2.0-alpha01

Can you upgrade Fragments and see if this fixes your issue?

After update to Fragments 1.2.0-alpha01, it seems the same exception still happens (Also tried update appcompat:1.1.0-rc01)
