Please describe your requested enhancement. Good feature requests will solve common problems or enable new use cases.

What you would like to accomplish:

• Were reporting issues where were trying to create log-based metrics for events that occur infrequently.
• When we click on the "Preview Logs" options to test our filters / labels, the pop-up panel is fixed to logs within the last 1 hour.
• Given these events occur only periodically, there may be none available within 1 hour, so we cannot confirm if we have configured our metrics properly.
• For the log filter, we could begin in Logs Explorer and then choose "Action > Create Metric", but for the label there doesn't seem to be a workaround.
• We needs a feature on how to test both logs and labels for log-based-metrics that may be older than 1 hour.

How this might work:

• Have the ability in Preview Logs window to select a timeframe or just increase the timeframe for more than an 1 hours time. Or give the ability of offering different time intervals (i.e. 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour, etc.)

If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:
