Currently there is no way of retrieving detailed logs when a request is made to Document AI. The only available information is the error code returned. For example, if a request returns [1], 400 is a bad request and, consequently, the format of the parameters should be changed.

However, it would be ideal to be able to get detailed logs for all the operations made with Document AI in order to track what is happening, especially when sending batch requests.

The details about this feature request have been forwarded to the Engineering Team, however; we cannot provide an ETA at this time [2]. Any future updates to this feature request will be posted here.

I have informed our engineering team of this feature request. There is currently no ETA for its implementation.

A current workaround would be to check the returned "boundingPoly" [1] "vertices" for the returned "textAnnotations". If the calculated rectangle's heights > widths, than your image is sideways.
