I've encountered a couple instances where all the Chrome "Add to Home Screen" icons added to my phone (Pixel 3a, Android 11 build RQ2A.210505.002) get removed from the home screen, leaving blank spaces instead.

I'm able to add the icons back by manually re-adding them, but I've had them get removed again in a few days / weeks.

I've seen both Chrome and Chrome Canary icons get removed at the same time, which made me wonder if the issue was Android-related, rather than a Chrome issue?

When the issue happened today, I believe it was during a system restart to install a Google Play system update. I think the last time the issue happened it was also after a system restart (although IIRC not for an update).

This bug is not related to Chrome OS -- it occurs on my Pixel 3a phone.

I also filed that Chromium bug -- I wasn't sure where to file, so I filed in both Android and Chromium (not sure which side has the issue).

How do I file a bug against Android 11? I used
