I am software engineer and try to prepare application to be shared on the car cockpit through Android Auto. During many tests with cars and with DHU, I have noticed that on higher resolution and framerate, there is some problem with Android Auto. I am getting Error 11 on the red screen

Android Auto encountered an error
Communication error 11 - Something's wrong.
When it's safe, unplug and plug in your phone.
 
Analyzing logs I found problems with bitrate like Android Auto was trying to set it higher than codec is supported. Decreasing resolution and framerate fix problem on DHU 2.0 where I can modify such settings, but I am not able to change it on real car cockpit equipment.
Also forcing lower resolution on the developer settings:
   
has not fixed the problem for me. It looks like there is no negotiation for working parameters.
Will Google add some negotiation of lower resolution or fps in case of failing window/video buffer creation?
