Although we can configure a Logging bucket for longer retention as per [1], it does not seem that a sink can write Logs with timestamps older than 30 days.  

What you expected to happen:
Older logs should be written up to the retention period.

Steps to reproduce:
- Create a Logging Bucket with long retention. [1]
- Use the Logging client library to send old logs to sink and using this API method [2]  
- We notice the sink is dropping logs older than 30 days.

This has been confirmed by the Logging team as a limitation. Hence, this feature request to allow Logs beyond 30 days to be sinked to Logging buckets. This feature has been already forwrded to the CLoud Logging team through an internal report. All future updates would be commented here. There is no guarantee that this feature would be implemented or that we can provide an ETA at the moment. To upvote this feature please star it and per this guide [3]
