Description
#1Hardware: Samsung S20 Ultra 5G (T-Mobile)
Problem: Show Media Notifications vanishes and defaults to on repeatedly.
Reproducible: 100%, automatic, unavoidable.
Steps to Reproduce:
Clear data/cache for Android Auto.
Auto for Phone data/cache has no impact.
Open Android Auto. Click through first start dialog.
Enter Settings, should look like below, left.
Exit Settings.
Select Audio button. Select YouTube Music as audio player.
Android Auto Settings forever changed to Settings dialog on the right.
Severity: Safety, driver distraction.
Note: Excessive attempts at different patterns and menu paths results in effectively no change to result. Internet searches have not turned up any useful info on this problem. AVRCP version has no impact. The trigger seems to specifically be selecting an audio player within Android Auto.
