Hey there, I noticed that Go 1.20 runtime is suffering the same fate here. I'd be happy to submit a patch to remove ffmpeg from the documented system packages if this is not a priority to fix :)
Description
Ubuntu Package name: libxmlsec1-dev and libxmlsec1-openssl
These two packages are used for all of the Python SAML libraries I can find. These not being included in the App Engine Standard Environment means that virtually any SAML integrated authentication is impossible. It does seem like this this was suggested all the way back in 2009 with no headway since the official response in 2014. This issue seems to suggest to use Google's Identity Platform as a replacement for these packages, however this would require a significant amount of extra work on my part, as there are simple drop-in packages for SAML auth natively, while integrating Google's Identity Platform would require a custom integration with my web framework.
