Summary:

• Currently there is no possibility of injecting tags to custom generated logs.
• No possibility adding tags to the configuration file
• Also running OpsAgent alongside with Logging agent is not possible

Problem you have encountered:

I would like to inject labels or tags on the logs to perform further analysis with Log based metrics. It is possible with Logging agent, however in order to use the more scalable OpsAgent, there is no way to inject labels on unstructured logs.

What you expected to happen:

• Include the possibility of injecting labels or modifying records as it is possible with Fluentbit
• Include the possibility of running multiple agents in the same compute instance alongside opsagent.

Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):

• As workaround it is possible to keep using the legacy stackdriver logging agent
