A setting to combine or split the volume sliders might make all parties happy here. I personally find combined volumes to be absolutely antithetical to how I use my phone. During work hours, I want to hear all my calls at maximum volume but don't want to hear any of my notifications from any other app.

Why is this issue categorized as P3/S3? This is a horrible UX. I've never owned an iPhone, but some of the recent decisions being made in Android make me want to switch to iOS even though I've always been a huge fan of Android.

Another Feature Drop for Android 13 and it seems the option to separate notification and ringtone volumes is still officially missing. The adb shell command works at first, but after a while both volumes combine again. Does anyone know how to make the separate volumes to stick?

I just applied the August update to my Pixel 7 Pro phone, and was extremely disappointed to see that the issue is still not fixed.... i.e. I am still unable to separate the volumes for incoming call ring and notifications.
This is a huge usability issue and fails to recognise a basic aspect of how different users need to adjust their environment in order to use the Pixel phones effectively.
You have class this issue as fixed, but it is not fixed for me or anyone else despite being on your latest & best phone, and the latest version of Android operating system generally available, with the latest patches applied !
Therefore -- as far as I am concerned -- it is NOT fixed !!
Why can you not fix this in a patch NOW, rather than only saying that you plan to do so at some stage in the future ?

I love the Pixel 6 I just got but I severely miss this feature from older phones. I need my ringer on, but I don't need a ding or a beep from all the other apps I have. It annoys both me and my colleagues and I seem like a fool with so much noise coming from my phone. The sooner the separation between notifications and ringtones the better!

Thank you for finally adding this feature! I have hated not having it separated for the last 3 years as I like to hear my phone ring but don't care about notifications. As the user above stated though, some other sounds should have full options for disabling like screenshot.

Description
There's no way to change the notification and ringtone volumes separately, so it's super annoying to have to turn up the ringtone volume, so that you can hear it in many situations. While you have to actually turn DOWN the volume for most notifications, because they can be really distracting! Notification sounds which are too loud influence the peace of mind and therefore the user experience highly negatively. Even my dog hates it when my phone's too loud!
Please bring back separate ringtone and notification toggles in future builds! This should be a high priority for you.
I don't think you need a bug report, am I right? I could add one, in the weird case where you decide that you need one. lol
