Description
(Note: It is the build when sending this report. For exact build reference, please see the attached bugreport.)
What type of Android issue is this? User Interface, Display, or Rendering issue
When did this happen?
Jan 14, 2022 18:36 GMT+01:00
What steps would let us observe this issue?
1. Set a bright wallpaper (for easier recognition of the bug).
2. Open the Stadia app.
3. Start any game.
4. Wait until you're in the game.
5. Now look at the sides of the in-game UI.
6. Swipe up a little to invoke the gesture bar.
7. While the gesture bar is shown, tap on it a few times.
8. Now watch what the sides of the screen are doing.
What did you expect to happen?
I expected Stadia to use the full size of my screen and react like any other app.
What actually happened?
The app didn't utilise the full width of the screen.
On both sides of the screen (only in landscape mode, in-game) there are black bars instead of part of the in-game UI.
Furthermore, after pressing on the navigation pill (you have to swipe up a little to trigger the appearance of the pill), on both sides of the UI the home screen wallpaper shines through and covers the areas where normally part of the in-game UI should be.
After letting go of the pill, the black bars pop back in.
How often has this happened?
Every time
What was the effect of this issue on your device usage, such as lost time or work?
