Hi,

When using isEdgeItemsCenteringEnabled and setting the initial position with scrollToPosition(), the WearableRecyclerView jumps to the top.

In onCreateView() or onViewCreated():

recyclerView.isEdgeItemsCenteringEnabled = true

In onViewCreated():

val selectedPosition = 2
recyclerView.scrollToPosition(selectedPosition)

It's caused by WearableRecyclerView.setupCenteredPadding() where getFocusedChild() returns null:

View focusedChild = getFocusedChild();
int focusedPosition =
      (focusedChild != null) ? getLayoutManager().getPosition(
              focusedChild) : 0;
getLayoutManager().scrollToPosition(focusedPosition);
