Same here. I have links in a local html file referencing file:///android_res/drawable/ and on all gradle build flavors using another applicationId (added suffix) the Webview only shows broken links.
This behaviour seems not to be connected solely to Android 5.0 since it occurs on Android 4.4.4 too (tested with current cyanogenmod 11 build).

As a hotfix I added the following code to the gradle buildscript, which generates an additional R.java with changed java package for every flavor. I don't like this solution though.

Description
I have verified that this app if the device does not have Wi-Fi or data communications to the network activated, it uses the downloaded dictionary and works very well, but as soon as the device has connectivity it tries to contact the google servers to make the conversion in remote, and there is a very high timeout until the application detects that it does not connect with these, which makes it unusable by users, we consider the possibility of opening a rule in the Firewall, to let the Gboard communication through, but I can't find the URL or address pool that Gboard points to. Could you provide me with that information?
