Problem you have encountered:
Customer is facing this error "Your Request timed out try reducing chart data" on an Istio microservices latency panel on a custom cloud monitoring dashboard

After inspecting the chart query it appears that the customer is using a very short alignment period on panel and it is generating to much data and it is breaking the chart

Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):
The customer was asked to increase the alignment period from 1min to 5min , and this solution worked but it is not satisfying for the customer because he requires a smaller alignment period
