Jetpack Compose version: 1.2.0-rc02 Jetpack Compose component used: ui, material Kotlin version: 1.6.21

Steps to Reproduce or Code Sample to Reproduce:

Create empty compose project. Add below code to MainActivity:

        setContent {
            var isVisible by remember { mutableStateOf(false) }
            var isEnabled by remember { mutableStateOf(true) }
            Column {
                Button(onClick = { isVisible = !isVisible }) { Text("Toggle isVisible") }
                Button(onClick = { isEnabled = !isEnabled }) { Text("Toggle isEnabled") }
                if (isVisible) {
                    var text by remember { mutableStateOf("") }
                    val focusRequester = remember { FocusRequester() }
                    TextField(
                        modifier = Modifier.focusRequester(focusRequester),
                        enabled = isEnabled,
                        value = text,
                        onValueChange = { text = it },
                    )
                    LaunchedEffect(Unit) {
                        focusRequester.requestFocus()
                    }
                }
            }
        }

When TextField is enabled, everything works as expected. Removing it from composition makes the soft keyboard disappear. But once enabled is set to false, TextField loses focus but keyboard remains visible, even when later TextField is removed from the composition.

Expected behavior:

soft keyboard hides when focused TextField disappears from composition or gets disabled

Actual behavior:

soft keyboard remains when focused TextField gets disabled or disappears from composition in disabled state

Is there any update when the alpha04 will be available? We need it to target api 31 because of the PendingIntent mutability flags missing in alpha03.

Marked as fixed.

I'll schedule it for the next release. Note that alpha04 is a complete turn-down of the library where all APIs are marked as Deprecated, so you'll also want to start removing your usages of the library.
