It looks like you are raising an issue as an Android user, rather than an Android Open Source Developer. Our Android Support team will be in contact with you shortly.
In the meantime, here are helpful resources:

I can charge my Samsung S10 on the pixel 2 stand.
I can not charge the Pixel 6 Pro on the Samsung wireless charger. Seems like an issue with Pixel 6 Pro to me.

This is not, and should never, be a fix for an issue. I have lost data from some secure apps (all my signal chats are gone, backed up but that was deleted also). Backup of phone should restore EVERYTHING to its existing state, otherwise it is a false narrative from google.

Battery icon will show lightning bolt for 5 second, but will eventually fail to charge, waking up to empty battery. Often when docking the phone, it won't provide haptic feedback or do the flashing screen animation it used to do on Android 12

Another thing I noticed - Going into Battery Share and trying to toggle that to "on" causes my phone to pause/hiccup for about a second.
Currently draining my pixel buds to verify the charger isn't to blame.

This is an overheating issue. You can get the phone to charge momentarily by putting it in front of the air conditioner, but then it will overheat again after 5 minutes of charging and stop.

Pixel 4XL
-Forced stop DHS
-cleared data
-Rebooted
-Wireless charging worked and did not get very hot (normal warm). Charged from 84% to 100% properly.
Nice catch!
Will try a few more cycles to see if fully corrected.

Shut down the phone -> it charges.
Rebooted phone but no first unlock after reboot -> it charges.
Unlock it after reboot, a few seconds later it seems to reduce charging power? (I can hear the lower humming on the charger on the wall outlet) and the phone starts to start/stop/start/stop...... the charging.
With case, without case, with another charger plugged into the wall outlet.... it doesn't matter.

I completely wiped out the Pixel Stand app after people reported that it could be causing the issue. The issue was gone until I installed the October security update or whatever a few days ago, and now it's back.
Android 13 has practically made my phone unusable; this is ridiculous.

Some interesting notes:
When I use a more powerful charging brick it does *worse*. If it's less powerful then it's happy to charge wirelessly at a slow rate.

I recently started clearing the cache and force stopping all apps that I thought were related to this issue. Most notably, "Connectivity Thermal Power Management", "Google Connectivity Services" and "Adaptive Connectivity Services".
Now both my stand v1 and v2 are working again.
Sorry, I wasn't keeping track of exactly what I was doing at this point as I was getting a bit frustrated, multiple restarts and following a lot of guides with no results, I hope this points someone in the right direction though.
Also the initial problem with the v1 stand for me was that it would buzz and pop up the charging percentage indicator and then just stop, it would repeat this after a few seconds but fail to keep charging.

Google refusing to acknowledge the issue after hundred of reports of similar symptoms all over the internet! This is affecting all kinds of chargers - for me, several non-brand qi chargers all exhibit same behaviour. Months later and now they connect for a second, before disconnecting and refusing to work. Occasionally I can 'trick' the device into working with said chargers through some combination of plugging / unplugging power from the wireless charger but this only works once, before failing the next time.
Interestingly, the only luck I've had is using Belkin chargers - a 2-in-1 charger for iPhone and airpods (using PeakDesign Magsafe case for P6P) and a Belkin Boost Charge car mount. Both of these devices work flawlessly - is Google individually enforcing only working with 'verified' chargers? What's different about these chargers compared to a no-name qi charger? A phone with qi charging should work with any qi charger!! My ticket was closed because I didn't provide a video proving the position of my phone on the charger wasn't the problem - shocking 😡
(Side note, generic chargers seem to work when connected to low-powered chargers, but then don't provide enough charge to actually charge the device while doing anything else. Any kind of PD or QC3.0 charger immediately exhibits the start-stop behaviour). This HAS to do with high power on generic qi chargers and I can't believe it's been over a year now and we're still no closer to a resolution!)
ke...@gmail.com <ke...@gmail.com> #96
I second this issue... If it is indeed hardware issue then Google needs to acknowledge this and issue replacements or upgrades.... It should not be this hard!! If I am paying for features then I should be able to use them.If Google cannot get wireless to work then acknowledge and disable the option or stop putting it in phones.
