Gradle is removing some @Deprecated methods from the org.gradle.api.reporting.ConfigurableReport class in Gradle 8.0. One method that is remaining is setDestination(File), which is still used by tasks created by AGP. All of Gradle's internal implementation classes for this interface (anything which ultimately extends org.gradle.api.reporting.internal.SimpleReport) will begin producing nagging deprecation warnings when this method is called.

Per the javadoc on that method, please switch to using the outputLocation property to avoid these warnings and prepare for it's removal in Gradle 9.0.

I just tested with 8.1.36-dev and 8.2.0-dev and the issue is still present.

I can't share a repro, and the full dump contains a lot of proprietary info. Is there a subset of the dump I can share that would be helpful?

Can you share the resulting apk and then the androidx.profileinstaller.ProfileInstallerInitializer$Choreographer16Impl class file from the dump (it should be in the program.jar inside the dump)
