Description
1. In developer settings, read the description of the preferences "Show taps" and "pointer location" . Notice they both talk about touches.
2. Compare what happens when you enable each of them, while using some adb command to simulate touches.
- What happened.
Only for "pointer location", it shows where you've simulated the touches.
For "Show taps", it doesn't.
- What you think the correct behavior should be.
Should behave the same
Or a better solution:
Have a new preference that says something like "include simulated touches". This one will treat simulated touches the same as normal ones, making both either handle the simulated touches, or ignore them completely.
- Is this a security related issue? Yes/No
No.
