This is a feature request to turn AsyncDifferConfig.setMainThreadExecutor and AsyncDifferConfig.getMainThreadExecutor public for testing purposes.

You can find the following TODO in the code of AsyncListDiffer:

Other libraries like LiveData use ArchTaskExecutor from androidx.arch.core which allow replacing the main thread executor in tests.
